Over the years, I can’t even count how many times people told me, “Cassie, you should really get into real estate!” 😎

And every single time, without hesitation, my answer was the same:

“Absolutely NOT.”

I meant it, too.
Well… at least until this past summer.

This summer, something in me shifted. I was exhausted emotionally, mentally, spiritually. It felt like forever since I had been doing anything that made me feel truly alive. And one of those passions I’d walked away from was social media and marketing, something I had loved for years but pushed aside to deal with life.

Then late June or early July, out of nowhere, I get a text from a woman I’d met through a networking group:
Susan Yoder with American Pride Realty & Auctions.

She wrote, “I heard you have experience with social media and marketing.”

I filled her in on my background, my love for creative work, and how much I missed it. Before I knew it, we had a coffee meeting set.

We met at Beau’s Delicatesse and Market in Langley OK for coffee and a chat. Just a simple meeting… or so I thought.

But who knew that walking into that conversation would lead to a brand new door swinging wide open?

Susan hired me to work in the office, handle the social media, and help with marketing for American Pride Realty. And I swear to you, it woke something up in me instantly. I came back alive so fast I barely recognized myself.

Now here’s the twist.
When I first started, I boldly declared,
“I’m working in real estate, but I am NOT going to real estate school.”

Well… guess what?
I am now halfway through my real estate classes, studying every day, and actually excited about taking my test. I’m looking forward to becoming the next agent to sign with American Pride Realty & Auctions.

But there’s more to this journey than a career shift.

For more than 30 years, I’ve been cleaning homes. For over 20 years, I’ve owned and operated my own cleaning business. I’ve cleaned for homeowners, landlords, stressed sellers, overwhelmed renters, and real estate agents preparing listings.

In so many ways, my entire life has already been woven into the world of real estate. I just didn’t see it yet.
Until now.

So here we are stepping into a brand new chapter together.
